1. What we provide

TheGreatCV.com is a free online resume and CV builder with supporting tools and guides. All features — every template, the resume checker, the job-description keyword matcher, the cover letter builder, and both PDF and Word downloads — are provided free of charge, with no account, no watermark and no payment at any stage.

The Site is supported by advertising. We may add, change or remove features at any time without notice.

2. Your content and your privacy

We never receive your resume. Everything you type into the builder is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) on your own device. Your resume content is not uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We cannot read, access, recover or sell it.

You retain full ownership of the content you create.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of what you write.
You may use resumes and documents you create here for any personal or professional purpose, including commercial job applications, at no cost.
Because your data lives only in your browser, clearing your browser data will erase it. Use the Backup button to keep your own copy. We cannot restore lost data.

3. Copyright and ownership

All content and code on this Site — including the application source code, template designs and layouts, written guides and articles, text, graphics, and the TheGreatCV name and logo — is the copyrighted property of TheGreatCV.com, protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 and applicable international copyright law.

You may not

Copy, download, rehost, mirror, or redistribute the Site's source code, in whole or in part, on any other domain or platform.
Republish our template designs, guides, or written content as your own.
Resell, license, or offer the tool as your own product or service, whether free or paid.
Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notice, source identifier, or domain reference in the code.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or repackage the application into another product, plugin, app, or extension.

4. Source identification and enforcement

Our source files contain embedded identifiers and domain verification code. These enable us to detect unauthorised copies wherever they are hosted. This code must not be removed or modified.

Where we identify infringement, we may take any or all of the following steps: issue a takedown notice to the hosting provider, submit a DMCA or equivalent copyright complaint to search engines and platforms, report the infringement to relevant advertising networks, and pursue legal remedies available under Indian and international copyright law.
